More of the GTA 6 map is water-adjacent than not. We work through the water systems by region.
For the underlying region structure, see the regions explainer.
Coast
Vice City's beachfront. The Keys chain. Smaller barrier islands. Tens of miles of accessible coastline based on trailer evidence. The most visible single water type.
Wetlands
The Everglades-coded region. Shallow standing water, sawgrass, cypress. Traversal via airboat. Distinct from the coast in colour, depth and feel.
Rivers and inland waterways
Less visible in trailers but plausibly extensive. Rivers feeding the wetlands; canals through residential districts in Vice City; the connecting tidal channels.
Pools, marinas, urban water
Mansion pools. Hotel pools. Marina basins. Smaller urban water features. None individually significant; collectively they're part of how the map feels lived-in.
