Regardless of theme, most RP servers start with the same few custom locations. The justification is practical: certain gameplay loops need specific rooms.

Police Department interior

Holding cells. Booking room. Briefing room. Armoury. Sergeants' offices. Every PD MLO differs from server to server, but these functional rooms are found on all of them. Detailed here: the PD MLO piece.

Hospital interior

Reception. Treatment rooms. Morgue. Surgery. Custom hospitals are often fancier than the in-game default version. Covered in the hospital MLO piece.

Mechanic shop interior

Garage bays. Front desk. Tool storage. Occasionally a second-floor office. The mechanic-shop MLO is the second most-used MLO after the PD. Covered in the mechanic shop MLO piece.

Courthouse / civil administration

Less universal, but common on heavy-RP servers. Courtroom, judges' chambers, civil records office. Tied into legal-roleplay loops.

Specialised locations

Drug labs. Criminal hideouts. Faction HQs. Custom businesses. These depend heavily on the server's theme and aren't included in the universal pack.
