Vice City's two strongest atmospheric modes are contemporary daytime - bright, hot, busy - and contemporary night - neon, lit, slower in some places and faster in others. Trailer 2 commits to both.
For the night specifically, see the night scenes piece.
Vice City by day
Bright, hot, busy. Beach activity. Mall traffic. Street markets. Tourist density. The kind of daytime that GTA V's Los Santos didn't quite manage because it was always slightly cooler, slightly drier.
Trailer day frames are crowded. Pedestrians outnumber vehicles in some shots.
Vice City by night
Neon, lit, slower in some places (residential) and faster in others (the strip, downtown). Different content available. Different sound. Different traffic mix.
The trailer night frames are arguably the strongest single piece of atmospheric work in the marketing campaign.
What the contrast achieves
Replay value. A city that looks dramatically different at night is a city worth visiting twice in different states. Story-wise, missions can use the contrast deliberately.
Photography mode is going to thrive on this contrast.
